Una  Profile - I have worked in various legal firms since leaving school in 19**! I have covered a wide variety of legal work but I think that employment law is the most interesting. I left my last firm after working with Sharon for 10 years to help set up her new firm. This has been challenging but rewarding. Even after all these years Sharon still complains about my tea-making, but luckily my secretarial skills are much improved on my tea-making! Interests - My hobbies are music, theatre, skiing, ice-skating, wildlife and holidays. My favourite holiday destination would be The Rockies. Secret ambition - If I wasn’t a legal secretary I may have gone down the catering route or become a Vision Mixer for Tyne Tees. My other secret ambition is to drive a Formula 1 car around Silverstone or Monaco. |
Barry  Profile - I started my working life as an office junior but soon found my calling assisting in the accounts department. After 6 years learning on the job I made the huge step in becoming Sharon’s Accounts Manager in 2006. The role has given me job satisfaction which I had never experienced before, it’s been demanding, challenging and enjoyable and my proudest achievements to date have been to obtain unqualified audit reports every year since taking charge. Interests - Out of office hours I like to spend time with my wife and two boys and I try to fit in watching any motorsports and mixed martial arts events whilst sipping on an extra cold pint. Secret ambition - If I wasn’t an Accounts Manager, I would have been an Estate Agent and my secret ambition would be to emigrate to Australia. |
Elaine  Profile - I left school in 1993 and became a Junior Secretary working in a firm of Solicitors, whilst doing day release at the Chamber of Commerce. During this time I obtained Business Administration Level 1 & 2 as well as RSA typing qualifications. I joined Sharon’s new firm as I had worked with her previously and thought it would be an exciting challenge to be part of from the outset. I have covered all aspects of legal work from Private Client to Litigation, but find that Employment Law is one of the most interesting. I also enjoy the Investigation work we carry out, from the initial interview stage to the production of the final report. Interests - In my spare time I like DIY and think I have a good eye for interior design. I also like to keep fit and walk my dog. Secret ambition - If I wasn’t a legal secretary, I think I would have been a hairdresser or beautician but my secret ambition would be a forensic investigator. |
